Dual Manual Control
Stroke frequency and stroke length are manually adjustable.
General Description
Positive displacement Liquifram-style chemical metering pumps (LMI Series B) that have received UL and CUL approval are required. When the pumps are running, the output volume must be able to be adjusted from zero to the maximum capacity.
Drive Assembly
All moving components of the pump drive must be completely enclosed. To ensure optimal protection against chemical spills, electronics must be kept inside a chemical-resistant enclosure located at the back of the pump. For full speed and maximum pressure circumstances, the maximum amount of electrical power consumed per hour is 29 watts. Weight of the pump cannot be more than 15 pounds (6.9 kg).
Pump Controls
Adjustment shall be by means of readily accessible dial knobs, one for changing stroke length and the other for changing stroke frequency. Both knobs are to be located opposite the liquid handling end.
Pressure Relief
To eliminate need for pressure relief valve, Liquifram shall automatically stop pulsating when discharge pressure exceeds pump pressure rating by not more than 35%.
Materials of Construction
See Specifications tab. Chemical metering pump housing shall be of chemically resistant glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic. All exposed fasteners shall be stainless steel. Valve seat and seal ring shall be renewable by replacing only the combination seat-seal ring or cartridge valve assembly.
Check Valve, Tubing, Connections
A total of 16 ft (4.8 m) of tubing shall be provided per pump complete with compressing connections (on models with tubing connections). A foot valve with integral one piece strainer shall be provided for the suction line (on non-high viscosity models with tubing connections), and an injection check/back pressure valve with 1/2″ NPT male connection for the injection point (on models with tubing connections).
